What’s New in the City of Napa Spring 2024 

New Arts and Entertainment, Business and Shopping, Food and Drink, and More 

NAPA, Calif., Mar. 19, 2023 – Discover an array of new events, businesses, shopping options, menus and happy hour updates awaiting exploration in Downtown Napa this spring. 

New Arts & Entertainment: 

  • Gourmet Napa Food and Wine Tours are now being offered each weekend, with dinner tours running Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and brunch tours running most Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Guests will explore eclectic wine pairings, engage with master sommeliers and discover hidden gems throughout the City of Napa. Tickets are $255 per person. 
  • On Mar. 23 and 24, join Roots Run Deep Winery for an exclusive Wine and Food Pairing Experience. During this epic experience, Private Chef, Diana Aguirre, will work directly with Roots Run Deep Winery’s Winemaker, Macario Montoya, to curate a four-course wine and food pairing that features world-class wine and seasonal ingredients. Cost is $150 per person and reservations are required.  
  • To celebrate Women’s History Month, the CIA at Copia is hosting a series of events that showcase the diverse achievements of its female graduates. On Mar. 23, join Chef Daniela Vergara, who will showcase her skills across a variety of cuisines at The Grove at CIA at Copia. Vergara has spend a majority of her career working with MINA Group. On Mar. 30, Chef Dara Yu will be welcomed back as a guest chef at The Grove at CIA at Copia. Yu was a runner up on MasterChef Junior at the age of 12, and more recently, the youngest-ever winner of MasterChef season 12. These Women’s History Month events take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
  • On Mar. 30, join First Street Napa for an Egg Hunt to celebrate Easter. This free event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and feature in-store offers at various locations, holiday goodies, live music, an Easter bunny visit and more. 
  • Azur Tasting Lounge will host three Sip & Paint events on Apr. 7, May 5 and June 2 that run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Join local artist, Erin Genow, for a three-hour class on watercolor painting. Tickets are $75 per person and include a glass of rosé, along with all materials needed. 
  • This spring, join Ackerman Heritage House for any of their Social Afternoon Tea Ceremonies. Enjoy dainty tarts, savory bites, seasonal house-made butter and premium teas served on authentic antique China and sterling silverware. Spring Social Afternoon Tea Ceremonies are scheduled for Apr. 20, Apr. 21, May 11 and May 12 
  • The 12th Annual World Cheese Tour classes from Janet Fletcher will include two spring dates. On Apr. 16, Janet will host April in Paris, an introduction to seven lesser-known selections from France. On May 21, Janet will host Tasty Twosomes, which highlights the art of blended cheese, whether it be cow, goat, sheep milk, etc. Classes take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Winston’s Café. Cost is $80 per class; $225 for any three classes.  
  • On Apr. 26, join JaM Cellars for a Spring JaMily Dinner Party from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Guests will enjoy delicious wines from the JaM Cellars estate vineyards and a multicourse dinner prepared by the winery chef. Cost is $125 per person and RSVPs are required.   
  • The CIA Wine & Beverage Summit will return to Downtown Napa May 5 through 7. Featuring programs from immersive tastings to in-depth dialogue on the state of wine education, innovative career paths and increasing both savvy and financial fluency, the conference will welcome recognized wine experts and rising stars. 
  • The annual BottleRock Napa Valley festival is set to take place at the Napa Valley Expo May 24 through 26. This year, headliners include Pearl Jam, Stevie Nicks, Ed Sheeran and Maná. One-day general admission tickets begin at $199. Tickets can be purchased at bottlerocknapavalley.com 

New Business & Shopping:  

  • The Napa Farmers Market will return on Tuesdays beginning Apr. 2. The Napa Farmers’ Market offers produce from local farmers, prepared food and drink from local vendors, artisan goods and nonprofit organizations. The market operates from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. each Saturday year-round and each Tuesday from Apr. through Dec. 
  • Yoga West has officially opened in Downtown Napa at 1215 West St. Yoga West offers a sanctuary for movement, mindfulness and community with a variety of yoga classes, from vinyasa to restorative yoga.  
  • The Napa Toy Museum has opened in the former Bookmine Space at 964 Pearl St. The museum features 500 toys from the 1890s to 1960s along with salesmen’s samples and patent models. The new museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission runs between $4 to $8, with kids nine-years-old and younger free.  
  • Napa Sonoma Supply, a family-operated business specializing in producing and selling gourmet gifts inspired by Napa and Sonoma, is now open at 1580 First St. The shop offers gourmet foods, wines, novelty gifts and more. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week. 

New Food & Drink: 

  • Empress M opened Mar. 15 for a 6-month residency at Oxbow Public Market. Located in the former Stateline Smokehouse space, Empress M is a longstanding Napa favorite that offers a unique dining experience, combining traditional Chinese cuisine with modern touches. 
  • Be Bubbly recently renovated its space, opening up to become Be Bubbly Lounge & Bistro. New to Be Bubbly is the addition of champagne cocktails, spirits and an elevated bistro menu.  
  • Moro Napa is set to open on March 20 in Oxbow Public Market. Inspired by the grab-and-go food of owner, Chef Mourad Lahlou’s, childhood and the food stalls at Jemaa el-Fnaa, Marrakesh’s famous night market, the Moroccan Street Food menu features frilled meats, flatbreads, salads and house-made dips made from fresh local ingredients.  
  • The Meritage Resort and Spa is updating two establishments within the Grand Reserve, formerly Vista Collina. Bubbles and Blooms sparking wine bar will transform into Sora Napa, offering bubble selections from around the world. Also being revamped is the French Village Bistro, which will reopen as Ember Steak. Ember Steak is expected to have a masculine, rustic vibe with a cozy and elegant dining area. Both Sora Napa and Ember Steak are expected to open in April.  

New Happy Hours & Menu Updates:  

  • C Casa has a new global-inspired street taco menu, which launched on Jan. 15. Each day of the week, experience international dining in the heart of Downtown Napa. Enjoy offerings like Asian-inspired ahi tuna, lamb with feta and Greek tzatziki sauce, Wagyu steak with chimichurri, or choose from 13 other street tacos on the menu. 
  • Sweetie Pies Bakery has a new lunch menu that runs Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Discover delicious sandwich offerings like a Tuna Delight, Chicken Bacon Avocado Bliss, Philly Cheese Steak Sensation, or enjoy a warm cup of Sweetie Pies’ soup of the day.  
  • Barnhouse Napa Brews introduced new special nights, including a Sip and Paint every other Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Bingo every first and third Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Trivia Tuesday’s at 6 p.m. and a happy hour every Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with $6 pints. 
  • Compline Wine Shop introduced Turntable Trivia, which occurs every Sunday night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Each correct answer unlocks 5 percent off of wines by the glass.  
  • Gott’s Roadside is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, with monthly specials for its customers to enjoy. Highlights include a soft-shell crab sandwich in June and a 25th anniversary burger in Oct. View the full menu here
