What’s New in the City of Napa Summer 2025 

New Events, Menu Updates, Lodging Deals and More. 

NAPA, Calif., June 24, 2025 – Heading into the summer season, the City of Napa is readying a number of inspiring experiences and vibrant outdoor activities. Soak up the summer breeze in Napa with exciting menu updates, new businesses to explore and a wide selection of outdoor entertainment. This summer, here’s what’s new in Downtown Napa 

Lodging News & Deals:  

  • Archer Hotel Napa welcomes Phillip Moratin as its new executive chef. With a seasonally inspired approach and a deep connection to Napa’s culinary community, Moratin now leads the kitchens at Charlie Palmer Steak Napa and Sky & Vine Rooftop Bar. He’s ushering in a fresh era of wine country dining at the boutique Downtown Napa hotel — one rooted in Napa’s agricultural heritage and expressed through local purveyors and peak-season ingredients.  
  • The Art of Summering: Take 15 percent off standard rates at the Archer Hotel on bookings made by Sept. 8. Guests will also receive a $25 drink and dine credit to use during their stay. Use the promo code ARTOFSUMMER2025 when you book.  

New Arts & Entertainment: 

  • First Thursdays will take place at the Oxbow Commons once a month from May through Oct., offering a family-friendly evening of live music, food trucks, local farmers, specialty food vendors, nonprofit booths, children’s activities and lawn games. Designed with locals in mind, the community event will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month and aims to bring neighbors together in celebration of summer, food and fun in a spacious outdoor setting. 
  • The Valley Beautiful: Music, presented by the Napa County Historical Society, is the second in a series of exhibits to tell a three-part story of Napa Valley’s beauty, and how cultural pride and a sense of community have employed architecture, music and art from historic times until today. The Valley Beautiful: Music opened to the public on Friday, April 4, and will run through Sept. 20 at the historic Goodman Library in Downtown Napa. 
  • Makers Market Outdoor at First Street Napa, a free, family-friendly event, celebrates 100 percent American-made, handcrafted goods from Northern California’s finest local artisans. The market will be held June 7, Aug. 2, Oct. 4, and Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  
  • di Rosa Downtown, presented in partnership with First Street Napa, is an open art exhibition running from June 7 through Sept. 7, displaying the works of Betty and Clayton Bailey — two prolific artists whose exhibition will explore the wonders and horrors of art, fame and domestic partnership. 
  • Napa Humane’s Community Mixer, hosted at Napa Yard on June 17 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., is a free, dog-friendly event and makes for the perfect opportunity to meet the dedicated staff and Board of Directors, learn about programs and services, and mingle with like-minded pet lovers. Napa Yard will also provide specialty cocktails and mocktails.  
  • On June 26 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests can enjoy Vines, Views, & Vibes, a live music and culinary event held on the rooftop of the Archer Hotel Napa complete with Michelin starred cuisine, captivating live music, and some of Napa Valley’s best wineries, all in support of the V Foundation for Cancer Research. Tickets are $183.  
  • Celebrate the Fourth of July in Downtown Napa with the Fourth of July Napa Drone Show — featuring a spectacular 400-drone show lighting up the sky over Oxbow Commons. The festivities begin with the 4th of July parade, carnival games, live music and plenty of food & beverage vendors before the evening finale Drone Show.  
  • Festival Napa Valley’s summer season kicks off from July 5 through 20 with live music, art workshops, invite-only dinners, film screenings and wine tastings. The 2-week event has something for everybody with a variety of both free and ticketed events.  
  • Held from July 11 through Aug. 1, Downtown Napa returns this summer to host the Fridays in the Park community concerts at Veterans Park with music by Johnny Tsunami & The Hurricanes, Tommy Odetto, Ariel Marin Band, Led Joplin, Riverfront District, Blood Orange Liqueur, The 7th Sons and Mama Said from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

New Food & Drink: 

  • Secret Garden Afternoon Tea returns to the Napa Valley Wine Train, in partnership with Chandon, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October. Guests will ride in a newly redesigned 1915 Pullman railcar bursting with pink- and neutral-toned wildflowers and window decals while sipping Chandon wine, premium tea and sweet and savory accompaniments. 
  • Cia at Copia Cooking Classes: Cook, bake, and taste your way through summer with multi-day Boot Camps, single-day classes and beverage classes perfect for beginners or those who wish to up their game in the kitchen.  
  • WALT Wines introduces a new tasting experience, ‘Root 101’, with Michelin star winner and chef, Ken Frank at WALT’s Oxbow Tasting Room in Downtown Napa. The Root 101 experience is available at 11:30 a.m. daily seven days per week, and also Thursday to Sunday at 2:30 p.m. for $85 per person.  
  • The Fink is expanding their summer menu with new offerings, including Carajillo Mio (a favorite mocha concoction from Napa Valley Cocktail Week), Primavera Flatbread, Beet Carpaccio and Mr. Salazar’s Reuben, a first class take on a classic Reuben sandwich.  

New Business & Shopping: 

  • A16 Napa, the local location of the renowned San Francisco southern Italian restaurant, opened for walk-in dinners in the former Miminashi space at 821 Coombs St., Napa on Thursday, May 29. 
  • Kemo Sabe is bringing the wild west to Downtown Napa with a new pop-up shop featuring custom hats, boots and buckles that can be personalized and customized for guests from May 9 through June 15.  
  • Marquee Pinball Lounge, which first opened their doors on May 10, features more than 15 popular pinball machines and a few retro arcade games. The lounge provides affordable entertainment, food & beverages — including beer and wine — for all ages and interests. 

New Happy Hours & Menu Updates:  

  • Hog Island Oyster Co. in the Oxbow Public Market will now offer happy hour Monday through Thursday every week from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Guests can enjoy oyster shooters, oysters, drinks and small plate chef specials.  
  • From May 15 through July 2, Gott’s Roadside will introduce two new craveable additions to its rotating specials menu: the Grilled Pineapple Burger (new permanent menu addition) and Cherry Cobbler Parfait.
