Tour and Taste Springtime in Napa

Spring is here and there’s no better way to celebrate blooming flowers and bright sunshine than an escape to Napa. Before you book your trip and pack your bag, here’s a quick weekend getaway plan for some R&R in Downtown Napa.

Check-In: Whether it’s a top-notch hotel with all the perks or a cozy bed & breakfast with character and charm, you’ll find just the place to lay your head during your stay. Check out these lodging options then check-in!

DAY 1
Roasted to perfection: Start your day off with a cup of Napa’s finest coffee at the Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Company. Their brew boast complex flavors, rich with earthy and fruity notes. Pick up a bag of beans to take home or sip a handcrafted latte. Either way, the Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Company will help get you moving while you explore Downtown Napa.

Nibble and snack: Stroll down to the Oxbow Public Market and sample the delicious flavors of Napa Valley while picking up a gift or two or five. Put your savory tooth to the test with a bite of artisan cheeses paired with locally crafted beer or wine at the Oxbow Cheese & Wine Merchant. For a sweeter treat, dip into Anette’s Chocolate Factory and select a few decadent truffles.

Mid-day adventure: Get a mid-day workout by skimming the water with a board and paddle. Experience Napa from this unique viewpoint with Napa Valley Paddle. Grab some picnic items while you’re at the Oxbow Public Market and take their half-day tour. Each trip includes hands-on instruction to help you make the most of your time on the water.

Recline for dinner: It’s been quite the day and you’re probably hungry. Pop into ZuZu to feed your beast. ZuZu specializes in small plate cuisine – known as “Tapas” – giving you the perfect excuse to try several dishes at once. Chefs prepare each plate from scratch using organic, sustainable vegetables, fresh seafood and prime cuts of meat. Influences include: Spanish, Portuguese, Mediterranean and South American cuisine. Try the braised pork cheeks with a black radish salad and sherry gastrique, followed by the Andalusian pot de crème – a three chocolate custard with whipped cream – for dessert.

Sip the night away: End your day with a glass of Napa wine while reflecting on your weekend adventure – so far. Head back to the now familiar Oxbow Marketplace area and relax at Ca ‘Momi Osteria with a glass of rich cabernet or crisp pinot gris. Ca’Momi is the perfect hub for conversations between friends, people watching and planning out your next visit to Napa.

DAY 2
But first, brunch: Look no further than Grace’s Table. This “Michelin Bib Gourmand” recognized bistro has comfort food to get your final day in Napa going strong. We recommend the iron skillet cornbread with warm lavender honey butter and the southwest tamale, filled with chipotle pulled-pork shoulder, green chili, black beans, jack cheese, chili lime slaw, cilantro dressing, and cascabel chili sauce. Now that’s a serious brunch!

Relax and indulge: After navigating the river with Napa Valley Paddle, you’ve earned a massage. Head to Spa Terra to enjoy their unique underground setting. It features whirlpools, steam grottos and soothing water walls at the Meritage Resort Estate Wine Cave. Spa Terra provides the perfect ambiance to nourish skin, release tension points and feel refreshed.

We’ve helped plan the trip, so now – go book it!
