Captains & Mansions Walking Tour
• • : Step back in time and explore the historic Napa Abajo neighborhood, home to the grand mansions of riverboat captains and their families who shaped the city’s past on a tour created by Napa County Landmarks on Saturday, April 12. Walk past 10 stunning historic buildings and Victorian-era mansions of the 1.5-mile walk led by Napa Mayor Scott Sedgley from 1 to 2:30 p.m. or historian and Napa County Landmarks board member Kara Brunzell from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Advance tickets are required each and tours are limited to 25 people. Napa Farmers Market
The Napa Farmers Market is mostly held rain or shine on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon year-round. The market is at 1100 West St. at Pearl in Napa. Asparagus, a sign of spring, is here from Picoso Farms (and maybe others), and Rodriguez Farms strawberries should be there, too. The market is also open Tuesdays as well as Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon through Dec. 23.

The String Queens appear at the Blue Note on Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The String Queens (TSQ) is a dynamic trio with a repertoire spanning from the Baroque era to the Jazz Age to today’s Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
