Loco-Motion Napa Valley Vine Trail Vintage Bike Tour
As part of its he Loco-Motion month, Napa Valley Vine Trail sponsors a Vintage Bike Tour on Sunday, May 18, at 9 a.m. for check in and refreshments at Napa Velo. The ride starts at 9:30 a.m. on a flat 10.5-mile loop. It ends at 11 a.m. with a food truck, prize raffle and swap meet. There are two groups, vintage bikes and Schwin bikes Ride the Vine Trail on your own vintage bicycle or borrow one to ride. Napa Velo has Schwin bikes to rent, but reserve. A Vine Trail Passport with discounts and benefits and ride costs $50. The ride alone is $25. See www.vinetrail.org.

Jeremy Piven live comedy tour
Actor, comedian, and podcast host Jeremy Piven comes to the Uptown Theatre on May 17 at 8 p.m. Known for playing the fast-talking, acerbic Hollywood agent ‘Ari Gold’ in the HBO series Entourage, Piven also played the title role in the British/PBS television drama series Mr Selfridge based on the life of the founder of the London department store Selfridge’s. Piven has also appeared in numerous films, including Grosse Pointe Blank, Singles, Very Bad Things, The Family Man, Black Hawk Down, The Kingdom, Heat, PCU, Old School, Rock N Rolla, Serendipity, Smokin’ Aces and Runaway Jury. He now tours the country with his stand-up comedy show.

Odd Fish at Jarvis Conservatory
Jarvis Conservatory presents the International Film Showcase selection Odd Fish on Saturday, May 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. Odd Fish is a feel-good film from Iceland that follows childhood friends Hjalti and Björn, who run a seafood restaurant in their hometown during the summer. They dream of keeping the restaurant open yearround, and when an unexpected opportunity arises, Björn reveals to Hjalti that she is a transgender woman and will be known as Birna from now on. Napa County Library hosts third annual Geek Out Comic-Con
Napa Main Library welcomes the ultimate celebration of creativity and fandom, Geek Out Napa Valley, on Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s free to attend. Featured activities include live music by Invincible Star Jazz, a costume contest and wrestling story time from City Fights Pro. Artists and authors Julia Wertz, Tom Beland, Sarah Gailey and Brian Fies will participate in a panel discussion “Every Picture Tells a Story: Local Graphic Novelists” to share their craft, their inspirations and connection to the community.
