About Compline Restaurant

Created by veteran sommeliers Matt Stamp and Ryan Stetins, Compline is the restaurant for wine lovers and a must-visit in Downtown Napa. Less than year after opening, Compline Restaurant was named one of America’s “Top 100 Wine Restaurants” by Wine Spectator and the New York Times featured it as one of the 6 places to drink wine in Napa and Sonoma.

With an upscale, urban interior and pet-friendly patio seating, Compline Restaurant invites its guests to eat well, explore wine, and experience laid-back hospitality in the heart of Downtown Napa.

Happy hour at Compline Restaurant is on weekdays from 3:30 to 5:30pm with $10 wines and $10 fries.

The Food at Compline

Executive Chef Jammir Gray serves up an ever-changing menu of classic California seasonality within a framework of the Bay Area’s rich diversity of cultures. The soup course, for instance, might comprise gazpacho, matzo ball, tom kha, or pozole, depending on the time of year. Chef Gray partners with local California farmers, ranchers, foragers, and cheesemakers who commit to sustainable and humane practices in the farm and field when creating her seasonally, fresh menus.

The Wine at Compline

The Compline’s wine list offers something for everyone, from local Napa and nearby regional favorites to great grower Champagne, and hundreds of other selections from across Europe and around the globe. The restaurant has received three stars from the World of Fine Wine Awards and a Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator.

Next door, their Compline Wine Shop, furthers the experience with a tasting bar and large, high-end selection to buy.
