Serge Sorokko Gallery
SERGE SOROKKO GALLERY AND MARTIN RAY WINERY
Established in 1984, the Serge Sorokko Gallery has built a solid reputation on its fine collection of post-war and contemporary art by internationally recognized artists. Located on First Street in Napa, the gallery and wine tasting space features a range of original work – from painting and sculpture to works on paper and photography. Under the helm of founder and owner Serge Sorokko, the gallery has fostered many emerging painters, while also exposing collectors to established American and European artists such as Damien Hirst, Sol LeWitt, Donald Sultan, Sean Scully, Ross Bleckner, Antoni Tàpies, and Jannis Kounellis, to name a few. The gallery has also played a pivotal role in organizing many of the first cultural exchanges between the U.S. and post-Soviet Russia, including the 1989 museum exhibition of celebrated New York artists in Moscow.
Since 2000, the Serge Sorokko Gallery has been publishing photography and fine art prints. Among the projects the Serge Sorokko Editions has undertaken are the BAM Photography Portfolios I, II and III, featuring such artists as Richard Avedon, John Baldessari, Vanessa Beecroft, Sophie Calle, James Casebere, Rineke Dijkstra, William Eggleston, Nan Goldin, Candida Höfer, Sally Mann, Richard Prince, Andres Serrano, Cindy Sherman, Wolfgang Tillmans, and Thomas Struth, among others.
With expert advisory services and the highest standard of quality, the gallery is committed first and foremost to providing an exceptional art collecting experience for its clients.
