About Copperfield’s Books
Copperfield’s Books was founded by Paul Jaffe and Barney Brown. They had a vision to open a community-focused bookstore, and in 1981, they purchased Sebastopol’s Myst Bookstore, changed the name to Copperfield’s Books, and quickly grew from a single storefront in Sonoma County to several locations, including Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Calistoga, Healdsburg, Larkspur, Novato, San Rafael, and our very own Napa. Since then Copperfield’s Books has established itself as a beloved independent bookstore across the region, and a must-do, cozy stop for any book lover visiting downtown Napa.
Their Bookstore Experience
Copperfield’s Books has remained true to its roots as a local independent bookseller, and fits right in with the friendly, charm of downtown Napa. Copperfield’s selection offers a broad mix of books, magazines, greeting cards, and unique gifts. More than just a bookstore to get the latest bestseller or find a hidden gem, Copperfield’s creates a vibrant gathering place for both kids and adults.
The bookstore is also committed to supporting the local Napa Valley community, with everything from author events to workshops, kids events, book clubs and book fairs.
