Walk-A-Mile Event Napa Valley

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2pm, take a bold stand against domestic and sexual violence—one unfamiliar step at a time. Inspired by the saying “you can’t understand someone’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes,” this event challenges us to step out of our comfort zone and into shoes that tell a story. Walk in solidarity with survivors whose paths to safety begin at NEWS.

How it Works:

Together, we’ll walk a 1-mile route starting and ending at The Napa Yard at Oxbow. Whether you’re a solo walker or with a team, choose footwear that sparks conversation and awareness. Wear shoes that make a statement, decorate your team’s footwear with messages of hope, or walk in something unexpected that starts meaningful discussions. We’ll recognize teams whose creative expression amplifies our message of support and teams whose energy lifts our collective spirit. Every step, every statement, and every show of solidarity matters.

Why Walk?

Every step you take helps NEWS provide immediate safety, healing support, and life-changing services to survivors in Napa County. When you walk with us, you’re not just supporting our 24/7 crisis line, emergency shelter, and advocacy services—you’re showing survivors they’re not alone. Your participation funds essential programs that serve over 1,800 local survivors annually while sending a powerful message that our community stands together against violence, rebuilding hope, restoring dignity, and saving lives.
