Three teams to compete at Copia to represent USA at Bocuse d’Or
Ment’or will hold the Team USA 2025 national selection event on Sunday, Sept. 3, at The Culinary Institute of America at Copia in Napa starting at 8:45 a.m. Three teams will compete to become the next Team USA for the 2025 Bocuse d’Or. The biennial Bocuse d’Or is one of the most prestigious culinary competitions in the world with 24 countries gathering in Lyon, France. Each team composes a platter and dish presentation in 5 hours and 30 minutes. Each country’s team consists of one chef and one commis (assistant). For the Team USA selection, the three team candidates will be asked to create a “theme on a platter” with Snake River Farms American Kurobuta bone-in pork rack, including a starter and two accompaniments. They must also present a “theme on a plate” with a choice of summer squash and zucchini or sweet corn. You can watch them work.
Tickets are $75 to $850 at www.mentorbkb.org.
