DOWNTOWN NAPA MUSTARD CELEBRATION WEEKEND

Throughout the weekend of February 18th guests will be treated to mustard-inspired dishes from a variety of downtown restaurants as well as mustard tastings in many retail locations. Downtown tasting rooms will be offering a Passport Tasting Card good for the weekends of February 18th and February 25th.
The Passport Tasting Card has been a big hit and may include a glass and a bite and or a library wine pour, you never know what they might unwrap for you! While in downtown enjoy Napa’s Art Walk, Rail Arts District and the many galleries and showrooms Napa has to offer.
Downtown Napa WineD Passport – Mustard Celebration
WineD is celebrating mustard season with a downtown winery passport event.
One ticket unlocks a glass and bite pairing at 20+ tasting rooms in Napa over three days + provides a donation to a local Napa charity (Voices Napa).
Join us February 24-26 to welcome the spring season, celebrate the sunshine and taste some new wine.
Curious what this looks like?
Think: a glass of cabernet paired with a pomegranate infused chocolate or sparkling wine with seasoned nuts. Are you drooling yet?!
Details: Passport valid February 24-26, 2023 at participating tasting rooms and are sold per person. Purchase any one of the three “available” days and use it for all three days of the event! Note – each winery has their own operating hours.

The Wine Train
Wine Train executive chef Rodrigo Cuadra has developed seasonal dishes for the mustard season.
The mustard-inspired menus are available for lunch on both the Legacy Experience and Gourmet Express.
The Legacy Experience is a six-hour train ride journey through the vineyards with a four-course wine country-inspired meal and wine tastings at wineries along the way, including Charles Krug Winery and V. Sattui Winery.
Guests will begin the morning with smoked salmon eggs Benedict as their first course; a second course offers options of cracked mustard-cider glazed salmon, grilled tenderloin of beef, rubbed pork tenderloin or seasonal local risotto. Marin County Brie is the third course, and the day ends with chef’s daily creation for desserts. For a shorter ride, the Gourmet Express train is a three-hour journey plus a multicourse mustard-inspired meal, including dishes like grilled beef tenderloin, rubbed pork tenderloin, Grandma’s red wine braised beef short ribs and more.

We will be featuring a Mustard Seed Spicy Chai!
We take our traditional chai tea (with or without espresso) and add ground mustard seed to the mixture. Our Chai is a sweet, spicy blend of black tea, honey, and vanilla bean. Adding the mustard seed, our chai finishes with a subtle spicy hint at the back of your palate.
With this drink tasting surprisingly delicious, the added benefit of Mustard seeds is a good source of several vitamins, including vitamins C and K, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, and folic acid. They have a high percentage of dietary fiber and are a valuable source of several bioactive compounds, such as antioxidants and polyunsaturated fatty acids.
