Taste a Dozen: South of France at Outer Space Wines

The South of France is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to wine, but still has never achieved the popularity of other French winemaking regions.  Outer Space Wines will serve up a dozen wines from the sun-drenched south on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. They’ll pour whites, reds, even a dessert wine from Provence to the Languedoc, Bandol to Maury.  Tickets are $25 in advance, $35 at the door.  Outer Space Wines, 974 Franklin St., Napa, www.outerspacewines.com, 707-657-7401
