Summer black truffle menu back at La Toque
The Aussie winter black truffle season is now at its peak so La Toque is rolling out its ‘All Black Truffle Menu: Summer Edition’ on Wednesday, July 10. This special, six-course menu showcases fresh black winter truffles from the Southern Hemisphere with some favorite summer season ingredients. This menu, along with its vegetarian sibling, will be available nightly for two weeks through Sunday, July 21. In addition to Duck Wellington, they have an Alaskan Ivory King Salmon dish. It’s cooked sous-vide to keep it moist and delicate and served with a savory morel mushroom sauce with a few drops of lacto-fermented porcini matsutake essence. The truffle menu costs $295, the vegetarian truffle menu $200 and wine pairing $125. A 20% service charge is shared by the entire staff. Make reservations. In other La Toque news, La Toque’s Terrace has a new translucent roof after being closed for two-months. It makes this popular space even nicer while keeping the weather out. They’re planning to start using it this week. With weather no longer a concern, this will be a new alternative for holiday parties and special events.
