Ronkalunga Band at the Blue Note

The Blue Note welcomes the Ronkalunga Band on Thursday, July 10, at 8 p.m. Ronaldo Rodríguez Hernández or Ronkalunga — a name that encapsulates his connection to his family and cultural heritage — is a Cuban singersongwriter whose sound maintains a distinctive style that has earned him recognition in the Cuban musical scene.  Ronkalunga preserves the heritage of traditional music with Afro-Caribbean and contemporary sounds. Full band performance includes lead singer Rodriguez, bass player Ernesto Mazar, pianist Julio, percussionist Carlitos Mazar and trumpeter El Niche.
