“Rise of Napa Valley Wineries” with Dr. Mark Gudgel – Napa County Historical Society

Dr. Mark Gudgel joins NCHS on Sunday, June 9th at 4:30pm at for a guest presentation on his recent book, The Rise of Napa Valley Wineries: How the Judgment of Paris Put California Wine on the Map. This is an in-person event held at the Goodman Library in Downtown Napa (1219 First Street).
Gudgel is an eighteen-year veteran of teaching English, Humanities, and Genocide Studies in Nebraska’s public schools. His interest in wine was sparked on his honeymoon in Napa and Sonoma, after which he and his wife started a wine blog that became popular. From there, Gudgel wrote for Food & Spirits Magazine, Vivino, Napa Valley Life Magazine, Edible Omaha, and more. Today, he contributes to Edible Marin & Wine Country on a regular basis.
Tickets for NCHS Members are $30, and General Admission are $35. Tickets for current college and high school students are $15.
