Renoir, Revered and Reviled at Jarvis

Jarvis Conservatory screens the documentary film Renoir, Revered and Reviled on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Pierre Auguste Renoir’s Impressionist paintings rank among the world’s favorites. Renoir, however, grew tired of this style and changed course.  This film, based on the Renoir collection at Philadelphia’s Barnes Foundation, explores the artist’s new approach.
