Piero Incisa della Rocchetta of Bodega Chacra at Compline
Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, the grandson of Sassicaia’s creator, founded Bodega Chacra in Patagonia in southern Argentina in 2004, and his domain has become a celebrated address for Pinot Noir in South America. Compline will present a casual reception featuring Chacra’s two Chardonnay bottlings — Mainqué and Chacra made in collaboration with Jean-Marc Roulot — followed by a seated tasting and two flights of Patagonian Pinot Noir on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 6:30 p.m. They’ll explore Barda, Lunita and Cinquenta y Cinco in the first flight, then pour a three-vintage vertical of the estate’s top bottling: Treinta y Dos, a single parcel wine produced from ungrafted vines planted in 1932. The cost is $125 at RSVP. Compline, 1200 First St., Napa
