Pete Escovedo’s retirement tour comes to the Blue Note on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 6:30 and 9 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 15, at 3 and 6:30 p.m. The legendary percussionist will be accompanied by Juan Escovedo, Peter M. Escovedo and Sy Smith. Pete Escovedo is an artist who has broken down the barriers between smooth jazz, salsa, Latin jazz and contemporary music for more than 50 years.
