Open Studios unlocks the Valley’s Art Riches
Open Studios Napa Valley this year will feature 90 artists at 59 locations on Sept. 21 and 22, and 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is organized by the Art Association of Napa Valley. Most of the artists are in Napa, but this year Yountville has a special effort. St. Helena and Calistoga mostly do their own things. This an opportunity to not only view but buy the art from many talented artists. The Open Studios Napa Valley catalog is available at www.artnv.org and in print at Art Gallery Napa Valley at 1307 First St. or Jessel Gallery in Napa. In addition to the artists exhibiting and sometimes working in their own and shared spaces, Jessel Gallery will display art from artists participating in the Open Studios weekends. That makes it the ideal place Open Studios brochure cover to start and decide by Darlene Merle which studios you want to visit. See the photo of Jessel’s Gallery below. A number of artists will be popping up with their art in the Jessel Gallery parking lot from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. They include Mara Adelman, Rebecca Boyd Anderson, John Comisky (shown), Debbie Dean, Jenny Emerson, Dennis Hogan, Susan Loomis, John Roos and Pam Walton. View the Open Studios website at www.openstudiosnapavalley.org and follow it on Facebook and Instagram. All the art continues!
