(Not so) Silent Films and Animated Cartoon Classics – Jarvis Conservatory, Saturday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. Step back in time for family-friendly silent films and early animated cartoons with live piano accompaniment and custom live sound effects. Enjoy early slapstick gags in The Cook (1918), directed by Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle, starring Arbuckle and Buster Keaton, and see Walt Disney’s handdrawn precursor to Mickey Mouse, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, in The Mechanical Cow (1922) and Trolley Troubles (1927).
