Native Sun Leaves photography exhibition by Izzy Valencia

Artist Izzy Valencia will show a new series of photographic images titled Native Sun Leaves at the Napa County Library during October to coincide with the 2024 grape harvest.  They’ll have a reception on Oct. 4 at 6:15 p.m. to meet Valencia and taste traditional Oaxacan treats provided by Tacos Rodríguez.  The event is free and open to the public. Valencia created this work to “acknowledge and explore the contribution of the indigenous community to the wine industry in Napa and Sonoma Counties.” Each piece features portraits of agricultural workers of indigenous communities from Oaxaca, México.
