Napa Valley Youth Symphony Spring Chamber Concert at Jarvis Conservatory

The Napa Valley Youth Symphony’s Spring Chamber Concert is returning to the Jarvis Conservatory in downtown Napa on Saturday, March 8, at 7 p.m. Sinfonia Music Director Debbie Walden and NYCE Music Director Yasushi Ogura have worked hard assembling these accomplished players for the concert. On the program: Sinfonia (arranged by Richard Meyer): • Farandole (fromL’Arlesienne Suite No.2) by Georges Bizet  • Nocturne (from A Midsummer Night’s Dream) by Felix Mendelssohn • Symphony No. 8Movement 1 by Franz Schubert NYCE: • Serenade for Strings by Edward Elgar • Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 by Johann Sebastian Bach Tickets are $15 at the Napa Youth Chamber Ensemble webpage on the Jarvis Conservatorywebsite. Auditions to join the Youth Symphony are open to all young musicians, ages 10-18, with at least two years of public or private music instruction.
