Napa County Historical Society

The Valley Beautiful: Napa County Historical Society hosts an opening reception for The Valley Beautiful architecture exhibit at the historic Goodman Library on Friday, Oct. 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. Presented with Napa County Landmarks, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, the exhibit explores the valley through the lens of architecture, showcasing commercial, residential, educational, governmental and sacred spaces of Napa.  The exhibit will employ juxtaposition to illustrate changes over time, style and significant details, changes in use and redevelopment.  Guests will learn about the designs of some of the valley’s most prominent architects and the buildings that reflect the aesthetics of various eras. The exhibit will be followed with an exploration of music’s role and impact on Napa Valley in spring 2025 and then the final exhibit on how fine art and public art have captured, enhanced and amplified the beauty of the valley.
