Masters of Hawaiian Music at the Blue Note

The Blue Note presents Masters of Hawaiian Music with George Kahumoku Jr, Led Kaapana and Jeff Peterson on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 4 and 7:30 p.m. Masters of Hawaiian Music features three musicians from Maui’s renowned “Slack Key Show,” sharing Hawai’i’s unique “slack key” – open tuning – guitar styles with roots in 19th century paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) culture. Growing up in rural Hawai’i, these slack key masters were immersed from childhood in Hawaiian music and culture that brought family together with entertainment, learning and joy.
