Luxury treats at La Toque

Reservations for La Toque’s 43rd annual Truffle Month (January) are now open. La Toque has long been known for its extravagant All Black Truffle Menus with fresh black truffles in every course. They also offer a vegetarian version. This six-course menu is only available from Jan. 8 through Jan. 26. It replaces the chef’s and vegetable tasting menu. Find information at LaToque.com.  If you prefer your luxury at home, La Toque offers two Champagne and caviar party kits to-go that serve two people. One includes a chilled bottle of Le Guédard Brut, “Assemblage Mes Trois Terroirs,” Cumières NV Champagne, one 50-gram can, er, tin of Regiis Ova Ossetra Caviar, a mother-of-pearl caviar spoon, crumpets with instructions to toast them at home and a set of traditional accoutrements. It costs $295. The premium Champagne and caviar party kit includes 2018 Hervieux-Dumez, Special Club Champagne, Sacy for $375 per kit. And then there’s the decadent grilled black truffle sandwich to-go, a full ounce of sliced black truffle and a little truffled cheese, infused between two slices of buttered Model Bakery bread.
