José Feliciano appears at the Blue Note on Friday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 1, at 6:30 and 9 p.m. José Feliciano is a Puerto Rican musician, singer and composer. He recorded many international hits, including his rendition of the Doors’ “Light My Fire” and his Christmas song “Feliz Navidad.” Music genres he explores consist of a fusion of many styles, such as Latin, blues, jazz, soul and rock music, created with the help of his signature acoustic guitar sound. Feliciano became popular in the 1960s, particularly after his 1968 album Feliciano! reached number two on the music charts.
