John Brothers Piano Company comes to the Blue Note on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m. John Brothers Piano Company is an Oakland-based instrumental band guided by disparate influences from chamber music to hot jazz focused on lyricism. They began as friends who would haul their Wurlitzer spinet to a subway station, to theaters and stages including Monterey Jazz Festival, SFJAZZ, Stern Grove Festival and Outside Lands. Tickets are $10 to $15.
