Jarvis Conservatory presents “It’s a Grand Night For Singing” on Saturday, June 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. Returning will be soprano Carley Neill. Joining her will be Bay Area tenor Robert Vann, soprano Karlie Saenz and baritone Martin Lehman. Every number comes from a theatrical show and will be sung in English. Balancing the program will be selections from 20th century musicals, Show Boat; Kiss Me, Kate; Kismet; The Music Man; Chess and The Secret Garden. For highbrows, the singers will also perform an aria from American composer Samuel Barber’s opera, Vanessa, and a quartet from Friedrich von Flotow’s opera, Martha.
