It’s a Grand Night for Singing at Jarvis
The Jarvis Conservatory presents It’s a Grand Night for Singing on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. Each program features professional vocalists as well as promising new singers from the San Francisco Bay Area (and beyond) who perform excerpts from opera, musical theater, cabaret and zarzuela. Featured pianist and host Paul Dab is a pianist, music director and educator who collaborates regularly with Bay Area organizations including Pocket Opera, Lamplighters Music Theater, West Bay Opera and Cinnabar Theater.
Featured singers:
• Amber Marsh, soprano, has sung leading roles with Verismo Opera and California Lyric Artist Association, and musical theater.
• Audrey Johnson, soprano, created the role of Saint Joan in the premiere of The Passion of Joan of Arc and has appeared with San Francisco Opera Conservatory.
• Katie Foster, soprano, has appeared in opera, musical theater and teaching, with roles in Company, Cinderella and Die Fledermaus.
• Ted C. Smith, baritone, has played leading roles in A Year with Frog and Toad, Spamalot and Guys and Dolls.
• Jill Wagoner, soprano, has performed with Verismo Opera, Sonoma Arts Live and 6th Street Playhouse.
• Paul Troppy, baritone, is a longtime member of the Santa Rosa Symphonic Choir.
• Gabriel Adelman, tenor, has appeared in Urinetown and was a 2025 Redwood Empire NATS Festival award winner.
The evening will feature music from the Baroque charm of Caldara’s Sebben, crudele and Mozart’s fiery Come scoglio, to Broadway classics like Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’ and The Impossible Dream. Contemporary highlights include selections from The Apple Tree, Seussical and Daddy Long Legs. Tickets are $20 and at the box office or online here.
