Holiday fun on the Wine Train
Napa Valley Wine Train will offer many ways to celebrate the holidays this year, including its classic Santa Train adventures, plus celebrations for Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve and a seasonal Peppermint Afternoon Tea. Thanksgiving is a 3.5-hour journey that includes a glass of bubbly and multi-course feast from the Vista Dome observation or the Gourmet Express Details. The Santa Train runs Nov. 29 to Dec. 23 with a choice of Santa’s Cookie Car, Gourmet Holiday Express or Very Merry Vista Dome plus a gourmet menu on some trips. Find more about the Santa Train and book reservations at www.winetrain.com. On weekends in December, the three-hour Peppermint Tea includes finger sandwiches, soup and treats with teas, even a caviar course or wine flight. Click here. On New Year’s Eve, Midnight in Paris is a six-hour celebration with a three-course meal and wines honoring the ‘76 Judgment of Paris including two-hour party at Grgich Hills Estate to toast Mike Grgich and his winning Chardonnay. At 3 p.m. Napa time, the party will toast to coincide with midnight in Paris plus dancing on the return trip. Get details. For more information or tickets, visit www.winetrain.com or call 707-253-2111
