Elena at the Blue Note

The Blue Note welcomes Elena for its final serenade on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. concluding the promotion of their acclaimed album, Ayer Hoy y Mañana. This record breathes new life into classic boleros, reimagining them through the lush, rhythmic lens of reggae. Based in San Francisco, Latin Reggae ensemble Elena performs an upbeat fusion of reggae, cumbia, Latin jazz and hip hop.  Elena shines in its tribute to traditional Afro-Caribbean rhythms with Saenz’s soulful vocals in Spanish and English.  This band brings all the good vibes with its uplifting message and grooves.
