Dinner with Piero Incisa della Rocchetta and Bodega Chacra at Compline
Compline will present a wine tasting and dinner with Piero Incisa della Rocchetta and Bodega Chacra on Friday, Sept. 20. Born into one of Italy’s most famous winemaking families, Piero Incisa della Rocchetta found his legacy far from Sassicaia, in the Río Negro region of Patagonia in Argentina. Incisa discovered old, ungrafted Pinot Noir plantings and founded Bodega Chacra in 2004. He has been making Argentina’s best Pinot Noir from vineyards planted in 1955, 1945 and 1932. More recently, he started collaborating with Burgundy legend Jean-Marc Roulot to elevate the level of Chardonnay produced at Bodega Chacra. Join Incisa for a tasting in the wine shop and a communal asado dinner featuring Argentina’s favorite dish, grilled beef. The wine tasting is 7 to 7:45 p.m. followed by the dinner. The cost is $175 at complinewine.com.
