Debut of Luna Court by Dandy Noel

The debut of Dandy Noel’s new book, Luna Court, will be held at Folklore on Sunday, March 30, from 3 to 8 p.m. Relive the 1990s as she reads selections from the book and signs it. Luna Court is the true story of Dandy Noel, a visual artist, filmmaker and entrepreneur who spent decades dealing with the aftermath of a series of traumatic events, including her mother’s suicide and her father’s breakdown. Her first book follows Dandy and a dear friend as teenage girls traveling across the country alone in the early 1990s. In a miraculous turn of events, they find what they were looking for. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Huntington Beach, Noel’s stories are steeped in the West Coast grunge and alt music scenes of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.  Unraveling the traumatic events of her childhood and young adulthood so she can continue her healing journey, Noel has made it her life mission to help other trauma survivors realize—through the connective art of storytelling—that they are not alone.  Get ready for an evening filled with entertainment, featuring Rock N’ Roll Bingo. Bring your ‘90s vinyl records or buy them at the event and be the DJ for your very own set. Folklore, 1226 Third St., Napa
