Jarvis Conservatory presents the documentary film Dawn of Impressionism: Paris, 1874 on Saturday, March 22, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Impressionists are now the most popular group in art history, but to begin with they were scorned, penniless outsiders. 1874 was the year that changed everything when the first Impressionists broke the mold by holding their own exhibition outside official channels.  Tickets are $15.
