Chispa: The Taco Chronicles, Canasta
Mark your calendars! The third of our six-part series of monthly taco pop-ups, featuring the culinary skills of Eddie Balbuena, is happening on Sunday, October 27th. We’ll be open from 11:30AM until sold out with our full Chispa menu available throughout. Reservations are not necessary- this will be first come, first served!
Tacos de Canasta are a popular Mexican street-food where baskets of tortillas are filled with a variety of succulent stews and sold from a street stall or a bicycle circulating town. Eddie will be delivering the goods, serving up baskets brimming with these warm tortillas filled with chicken mole, chicharron prensado (pork rinds in red sauce), chorizo con papa (Mexican sausage with potatoes), and veggie options; frijoles negros and requeson (cheese). With Día de los Muertos just a few days away, we can honor our loved ones and celebrate with this feast for the senses among our community.
