Blue Note presents Mick LaSalle with Oscar Talk
The 2025 Oscar nominations have been announced and that can only mean one thing: the return of San Francisco Chronicle columnist and film critic Mick LaSalle to Blue Note. LaSalle returns for his annual Napa Valley appearance on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Blue Note. He will discuss this year’s crop of Oscar contenders, his picks, pans and predictions, and will take questions from the audience, including, “Who will win Best Picture?” Will you agree? It will be moderated by Barry Martin, the co-founder of Lucky Penny and morning host at 99.3 The Vine. Tickets are $15 or $25 at www.bluenotenapa.com; $2 per ticket will be donated to The Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native wildlife including those affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles. wwccoc.org
