AgapéSoul at the Blue Note

The Blue Note presents AgapéSoul on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 8 p.m. AgapéSoul is the creation of bassist, songwriter and producer Darryl Anders. The project is a stylistic blend of soul, jazz and gospel driven by Anders’ singular musical vision.  AgapéSoul’s music has been compared to popular R&B/jazz ensembles Incognito and The Brand-New Heavies.  The band has had several #1 singles on the UK Soul Chart, as well as on the Indie Soul Chart in the US.  AgapéSoul’s live show features three dynamic Bay Area singers, Natè Soulsanger, Fred Ross and Sonya Distel upfront, backed by a rhythm section of Darryl Anders on bass guitar, Joel Griffin on drums, Jackson Allen on guitar and Justus Dobrin on keys.
