Action Art Fest to debut in Napa’s Rail Arts District

The Rail Arts District (RAD) will host the inaugural Action Art Fest on Aug. 24 from 2 to 6 p.m. to mark the completion and unveiling of the Quake Mosaic—a large-scale public artwork by artist Kristina Young, created in collaboration with more than 2,000 community members over the past decade.  It will also launch a new community festival honoring participatory art, resilience and creative expression. Over the past decade, Young collaborated with more than 2,000 community members to transform tons of broken household objects after the 2014 earthquake and two wildfires in 2017 and 2020 into a massive mosaic inspired by underground geological strata
