While we wouldn’t exactly say things are ever quiet here in Napa, the excitement around holidays is especially palpable. It’s summer, which means it’s the perfect time of year to explore all the fun, sunny events Napa has coming up. This Fourth of July, why not spend it with us? Enjoy a unique blend of local charm, breathtaking wine country beauty and plenty of ways to celebrate Independence Day. Simply put, we’ve got everything you need for a fun-filled Fourth, including an unforgettable drone show, a local parade and lots of surprises. Make an escape out of it – come for America’s birthday and stay through the weekend. Trust us, you deserve it.
Celebrate Fourth of July in Napa
The festivities go all day in Downtown Napa this upcoming Fourth! Whether you’re traveling with kids or escaping for a little taste of wine country freedom all on your own, you’ll find plenty of excitement to fill the day.
Sunrise Rotary Parade – July 4, 9:30 AM
Everybody loves a parade, especially on the Fourth of July. And nobody throws a parade quite like Sunrise Rotary. We’re starting off bright and early at the intersection of Second St and School St, where parade participants will gather and prepare for the march around Downtown. Dedicated to providing humanitarian service and building goodwill, this group of community and business leaders will roll out floats, marching bands, classic cars and more. Be sure to get there early for a good spot!
Oxbow Commons Celebration – July 4, 3:00 PM
Nestled right along the riverside in the heart of Downtown Napa, you’ll find Oxbow Commons, which houses Oxbow Public Market as well as several other local businesses and places to unwind. This year, they’re going all out for the Fourth of July. All afternoon, you can enjoy a wide variety of activities for all ages, from kids’ inflatables and carnival games to a food court offering some of Napa’s delicious local cuisine – and of course, great beer and wine. To top it all off, there will also be a variety of performances by local artists, so your Fourth of July will have the perfect Napa-sourced soundtrack.
Experience The Napa Drone Show – July 4, 9:30 PM
Here in California, we’re opting for something a little more eco-friendly than fireworks this year – a light show made up of 400 drones flying in formation. This dazzling display will have all the excitement and wonder of a fireworks show without the fire hazard or environmental impact. Find a spot and settle in to view sixteen stunning formations flying high above your head as Napa celebrates Independence Day. We recommend Oxbow Commons, 1st and 3rd Street Bridges, Veteran’s Memorial Park, China Point, Riverfront Green and the Riverfront Promenade as the best spots to view this spectacular show.
