Below, we’ve put together a quintessential how-to guide on how best to “do” Downtown Napa!

Learn What Exactly Is Fully Reopened

Downtown Napa lodging properties, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, breweries and retail shops are fully open and welcoming visitors with some safety measures in place, but no capacity limits or physical distancing is required by the state.

As of 8/5 – with cases of COVID-19 rising locally and increased reports of the very infectious Delta variant, Napa County issued a health order mandating indoor masking, regardless of vaccination status.

Learn What Restrictions May Still Be In Place

Downtown Napa businesses may still choose to limit capacity or implement additional safety protocols at their own discretion. We recommend visitors call individual businesses, or check their websites and social channels, to confirm details and operating hours.

The only remaining restrictions involve large events (over 10,000 people outdoors or 5,000 indoors). Attendees should check guidelines with event operators when buying tickets or making reservations. Again, as of 8/5 – with cases of COVID-19 rising locally and increased reports of the very infectious Delta variant, Napa County issued a health order mandating indoor masking, regardless of vaccination status.

Plan Ahead & Make Reservations

We know everyone is excited to travel again, which means that Downtown Napa businesses are likely to be busier. For the optimal experience, we encourage you to make reservations with wine tasting rooms, restaurants, lodging properties and events when you can.

Businesses are also looking to invite you back comfortably. This may mean that they require limiting capacity for a bit longer, so we encourage you to call ahead of time if you may have any questions or concerns.

Book A Mid-Week Stay

Many Downtown Napa lodging properties are offering mid-week specials so you can beat the crowds and maximize your trip funds.

Many restaurants and wine tasting rooms also have special happy hour offers that only fall on weekdays. See a list here.

Soak Up the Scenery

It’s still the perfect time to enjoy the great outdoors. Downtown Napa has riverfront views, nearby hiking, kayaking adventures and more. Pair this with your favorite activity like wine tasting and you can make a stay of it.

Check Out The Events Calendar

Now, more than ever, we’re looking to make up for lost time and celebrate. Our local businesses are excited to host new and reoccurring events. Check out the DoNapa events calendar to plan ahead, purchase tickets (if applicable) and book your stay.

Relax and Enjoy

It’s been quite a year! Let’s get back to relaxing and enjoying the things we missed the most. We can’t wait to see you in Downtown Napa!
