Female-Led Napa Valley StreamFest Redefines the Festival Model
A Groundbreaking Celebration of ‘Streamertainment’ in the Heart of Wine Country
NAPA, Calif., Oct. 15, 2024 – Downtown Napa is excited to announce the first-ever Napa Valley StreamFest, which will take place April 24-27, 2025. Set against the iconic backdrop of Napa Valley, StreamFest isn’t just another film festival or comic con; it’s the first festival of its kind. The four-day event is pioneering a new type of festival to celebrate podcasts, series, films and social content. Enjoy panels, parties, screenings, and discussions, all with world-famous wineries as its backdrop. A celebration of storytelling through multiple platforms, StreamFest brings together industry trailblazers and emerging voices, giving attendees the chance to engage with cutting-edge content.
“After working for twelve years at some of the top film festivals, I realized that the traditional festival model isn’t evolving with the ever-changing world of ‘streamertainment,'” said Fearon DeWeese, StreamFest Society Co-Founder and Executive Director. “We’re launching Napa Valley StreamFest to celebrate all the ways we stream & binge entertainment—a variety show of content from indie films to viral TikToks. With our festival model, guests aren’t racing from one theater to the next; it’s a curated experience programmed to binge-watch together while connecting in person and experiencing what Napa has to offer.”
Napa Valley StreamFest offers a thoughtfully curated, walkable experience throughout Downtown Napa. From Thursday to Sunday, the festival will unfold across multiple venues like Uptown Theatre, Feast It Forward Studio Social Collective, and various wineries, including the newly rebuilt Signorello Estate. With over twenty world-class lodging options conveniently located near Uptown Theatre and StreamFest Basecamp, including Andaz Napa, River Terrance Inn, The Westin Verasa Napa, Archer Hotel Napa, and Napa River Inn, attendees will have prime access to all the action.
“The entertainment industry is undergoing a radical transformation—YouTube’s new self-distribution model and the Emmys recognizing web series are just the beginning,” said Juliana Folk, Co-Founder and StreamFest Board President. “Today, TikTok stars wield as much influence as Hollywood’s biggest names, yet festivals remain stuck in old traditions. It’s time for a revolution that embraces all creators, from independent filmmakers to digital content creators, all with a mission to tell their stories. Napa Valley StreamFest is here to celebrate this new era and pioneer a first-of-its-kind festival model.”
Les Garland, co-founder of MTV, VH1, The Box Television Network, and College Television Networks, will receive the inaugural Les Garland Legendary Award for his immense contribution to the entertainment industry. This special honor will take place on Saturday, April 26, at the Uptown Theatre in Napa, followed by the Legendary Artist Dinner. Another notable StreamFest guest includes two-time NBA All-Star, entrepreneur, and media creator Baron Davis.
Society Member passes for the Curated VIP Experience, ranging from $1,300 to $25,000, are available Friday, Oct. 18.
