Napa Valley Yacht Club’s Annual Lighted Boat Parade
The Napa Valley Yacht Club invites all local residents with boats to help light up the Napa River at our Annual Lighted Boat Parade on Friday, December 12th at 5:00 PM.
Where: Napa River (staging at the Napa Valley Yacht Club dock)
When: Friday, December 12 • 5:00 PM start (please arrive at 4:00 to stage)
Who: Any resident with a seaworthy, properly lit vessel with a VHF radio is welcome!
Theme: Holiday lights and festive cheer
Parade Route
The parade will travel along the Napa River through Downtown Napa, continue past the Napa Valley Yacht Club, and loop through the River Park and Napa Yacht Club neighborhoods, offering a dazzling display of illuminated boats for spectators along the riverfront.
How to participate
- Dress your boat with holiday lights and decorations (safe, secure, and weather-ready).
- Ensure your navigation lights are operational and safety gear is on board.
- Ensure you have a VHF radio and are monitoring Channel 72
- Plan to check in at the Napa Valley Yacht Club Dock by 4:00 pm on December 12th to receive a safety briefing from the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Reserve members. Parade instructions will be given out after the safety briefing prior to launch; safety briefing to begin at 4:30 pm sharp.

- Please register your vessel no later than December 5th so we can assign positions and share additional details.
- Vessel information needed: Boat name and length.

Spectators are encouraged to watch from riverfront viewpoints and cheer on the fleet!
