Tommy Odetto’s Birthday Bash  at the Blue Note

Celebrate Tommy Odetto’s birthday with a night of great music at the Blue Note on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. Tommy Odetto is a blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter who grew up in the Bay Area.  His first love was early rock and roll, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens.  When he was 13, he received an electric guitar and started to discover guitarists like Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.  He wanted to know everything about them, which introduced him to the blues and artists like Robert Johnson, BB King and Muddy Waters who touched his soul and lit a fire inside of him that has never wavered.  Blue Note, 1030 Main St., Napa
