Tasting and dinner with Ciro Biondi of Mount Etna at Compline

Compline’s first winemaker dinner in 2018 featured its favorite producer on Sicily’s Mount Etna, Ciro Biondi. Now, he’s coming back on Oct. 18 for a tasting and dinner as part of his last tour of the USA.  Have dinner featuring some of the best reds and whites made on the slopes of Sicily’s active volcano, Mount Etna. They’ll start at Compline Wine Shop for an introduction and tasting of his white wines, then head over to Compline Restaurant for a communal dinner with the top red wines Biondi makes. In true Sicilian style, they’re breaking the rules and serving red wine with (whole) fish. Get to know Etna’s varieties Carricante, Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio – and learn from one of the old masters of Sicilian wine. The cost is $185 at reservations.
