Shop “Small” in Downtown Napa

It’s beginning to look a lot like the holidays in the City of Napa! If you’re spending time in Downtown Napa over Thanksgiving weekend, how about skipping the awful Black Friday crowds at the big box stores and instead support the hundreds of small businesses that line the streets of the city on Small Business Saturday.

We are proud that the City of Napa is built on a small business culture, with many of these spots operating since the 1970s and 80s. Here is a round-up of a few local businesses in Downtown Napa worth splurging on this holiday season.

Looking for a one stop gift shop? Make your way to Napa Valley Traditions where you’ll find gift baskets, local foods, wine, trinkets and much more! You can also sip on coffee or tea while you shop for a special gift.

Shopping for someone who doesn’t fit the traditional gift mold? You’re sure to find something interesting at Yarns on First or Ivy, Twig & Twine.

If you have a reader in your life (or if you’re a bookworm yourself), you can’t miss Napa Bookmine, one of the best local book stores around.

In the mood for some retail therapy or want to help someone else sharpen up their look this holiday season? Napa has plenty of great clothing shops, including Scott Lyall Clothes for Men. Plus, Boho Lifestyle, and Miyamo for the ladies.

Looking to toast to the season or find a gift for the wine and spirits connoisseur? You’ll find a number of great options at Oxbow Cheese & Wine Merchant or the Napa Valley Distillery.

After all that shopping, you’re sure to need a break to refuel. Try a delicious gourmet coffee drink at Napa Valley Coffee Roasters (where you can also grab a bag of beans for a gift!) or have lunch at C Casa, a wonderful local taqueria.

If you need a few more gifts or something to treat yourself, stop by the Napa General Store or The Roost Napa for a variety of great finds and local gems!

Who doesn’t enjoy a hot bubble bath this time of year? The Spa at Napa River Inn has great spa items for a fun holiday gift.

Now that you’re fully prepared for Small Business Saturday in Downtown Napa, you just have to book your stay and decide where to shop first!
