Day One:

Plan your visit so you arrive into town early morning to take advantage of the countryside. Kick off your day with some coffee and a fruit muffin or warm croissant from Sweetie Pies. Their freshly baked goods are delicious and are a favorite among locals!

Next, take a stroll through Downtown Napa and enjoy the world-renown beauty surrounding the Napa Valley. Get your camera ready because there are countless photo opportunities for you to capture! Take in the picturesque sun rays reflecting off the Napa River, or stop at the iconic Big Chair at the Riverfront for a fun, memorable picture.

You’ve seen Napa’s beauty on foot – now check it out on water! Enjoy one of the most sacred parts of Napa Valley through a natural approach. Take a leisurely canoe or kayak ride on the gorgeous Napa River, or try stand up paddle boarding for a more challenging experience. Before you hit the water, stop by the Oxbow Wine and Cheese Merchant and pick up a delicious picnic snack with fresh cheese and crackers to enjoy along your journey.

Once you’re back on the streets, watch the sunset while cruising through Downtown Napa on a bike. Take a guided scenic tour, or enjoy more leisurely biking paths throughout the city. Many lodging properties offer guests bikes to enjoy during their stay or rent one from Napa River Velo.

Day Two:

After a good night sleep, begin your morning with breakfast at JAX White Mule Diner. They are known for serving up breakfast classics done the JAX way. Their menu has something for everyone such as eggs benny, classic bacon and eggs and French toast bites.

Next, treat your body right with a workout at your hotel gym. Many of Downtown Napa’s resorts offer fitness clubs with access to state-of-the-art cardio machines, strength-training equipment, and free weights. Plus, swimming pools and hot tubs for a water workout.

Now that your warmed up, get ready to explore the rolling California hills. The City of Napa is surrounded by mountains providing built in hiking trails for all hiking levels. The Mt. George Waterfall Trail provides views of billowing waterfalls. This five-mile hike winds along the creek and is a great location to see wildflowers in bloom. Next, take a stroll through Downtown Napa and catch unique art along the way. The Napa ARTwalk is a biannual, rotating exhibition of juried sculpture created by artists from the Western US. All the art is outside and on the sidewalks of Downtown Napa. If you are looking for a good way to explore the Downtown area, follow the ARTwalk that takes you along the Riverwalk, weaving you in and out of Napa’s historic streets.

Grab some lunch at Angéle. The French country restaurant overlooks the Napa River and offers

refined bistro fare, wine and cocktails. Their dining room, located in the historic 1890 ship’s chandlery now known as the Hatt Building, evokes the simple romance of the classic French brasserie, while our riverfront patio celebrates the region’s temperate climate and relaxed atmosphere. 

After lunch, head to Foot Logic Massage in Downtown Napa to pamper yourself. Enjoy a variety of services including a full body massage, foot reflexology and cupping.
