Do Brunch in Napa: Our Favorite Brunching Spots

A delicious brunch is the perfect way to begin (or end!) a day or two of wine tasting, and when you’re staying in town, you’ll find that the City of Napa is home to some of the best brunch spots around. From casual, sweet pastries to classy brunch buffets, here are a few of our favorite places.

Napa General Store

Located in the Historic Napa Mill on Main Street, the Napa General store is a great place for cute gifts, wine country treasures, wine tasting and of course – brunch! We recommend filling up with the Vintner’s Breakfast, which is a full platter of brioche French toast, farm-fresh eggs, and sausage or bacon. The breakfast scrambles on the menu are also excellent. Insider tip: Dine on the outdoor patio for lovely riverfront views.

Grace’s Table

This Napa bistro on Second Street is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. You’re in for a unique brunch experience here, with a globally-inspired menu featuring items such as daily quiches, homemade donuts and chilaquiles. The star of the brunch menu, however, is the skillet cornbread with lavender butter. Indulge yourself and make it your main meal, or split an order among your group so everyone can give it a try!

Alexis Baking Company

Also located downtown, Alexis Baking Company is a lively café and bakery brimming with sweet treats and mouthwatering brunch items. While it’s hard to choose a favorite, reviews of the restaurant overwhelmingly recommend the to-die-for lemon ricotta pancakes. If an egg dish is more your jam, the huevos rancheros and eggs benedict also come highly recommended.

Sweetie Pie’s

For a grab-and-go breakfast or brunch, try Sweetie Pie’s. This charming bakery is located adjacent to the Napa River Inn in the Historic Napa Mill, and serves up breakfast sandwiches and a huge selection of delectable pastries. We recommend the Morning Bun with a cup of coffee for a light, satisfying start to the day. Insider tip: If you stay at the Napa River Inn, Sweetie Pie’s delivers breakfast right to your hotel room every morning!

Siena at the Meritage

Splurge on the Sunday brunch buffet at Siena, the Tuscan-inspired bistro at The Meritage Resort & Spa. With bottomless mimosas, fresh fruit and pastries, and all the classic brunch staples you could ask for, this brunch is worth the indulgence and the perfect way to round out a weekend in wine country. All guests are welcome, whether you’re staying at the resort or not.

There’s something for everyone when brunching in Napa, so be sure to include a tasty, leisurely brunch in your upcoming itinerary – you won’t want to miss it!
