Fourth of July is a time where we gather together and celebrate our American history and independence. What better place to celebrate this beloved summer holiday than right here in Downtown Napa! To make sure you don’t miss out on any of the fun we have planned around Napa, we’ve outlined all of the celebrations taking place around town.
Nothing says Fourth of July more than a parade! Start your day off by watching the Napa Sunrise Rotary Fourth of July Parade stepping off at 10 a.m. The parade marches down 2nd and 3rd streets passing in front of the grandstand and performance area on the parade route. Put on your stars and stripes and join in on the fun!
After the parade, the fun continues with an all-day festival at the Oxbow Commons. This isn’t just any ordinary festival. Sunset Magazine listed Napa’s Fourth of July Festival as one of the six best festivals and block parties in the country! The festival kicks-off at 1 p.m. and features a Kids Zone that will keep the youngsters occupied with carnival games, inflatables, and family-friendly activities. Head on over to the Blue Note stage to hear some great tunes all the way up until the fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
The festival also features a wide selection of food, beer, and it wouldn’t be a Napa event without our signature wine. You definitely won’t go hungry, or thirsty for that matter! Enjoy the day strolling along McKinstry Street and experience all that the festival has to offer.
Whether you arrive on four wheels or two, we have plenty of parking to fit your ride. While parking is unavailable at the Oxbow Market, parking is available at the City Lot at Pearl and West Streets, all downtown garages, and on-street parking. The Napa County Bicycle Coalition will offer free bicycle valet parking right in the heart of the festival activities so you can peddle right up to the action.
As the sun goes down and the sky gets darker, that is your cue to find a spot to watch the main event – the fireworks! You can view the fireworks show from multiple locations including Oxbow Commons, Veteran’s Park or the riverfront promenade. You’re guaranteed to see the fireworks extravaganza from any of these locations and throughout downtown Napa.
Join us for all the fun on July 4 starting at 10:30 a.m.!
