Apero Wine & Spritz Bar

Apero Wine & Spritz Bar, opened Thursday in downtown Napa. It serves Tansy Italian inspired wines and snacks from A16 Restaurant, plus low-alcohol cocktails from Samantha Sheehan’s Mommenpop, and her Poe sparkling and cool-climate wines from Sonoma and Mendocino.  The space across the alley from Outer Space Wines previously housed another tasting room collective called Outland that hosted Sheehan’s Poe and Mommenpop plus departed Farella. Tansy Fields specializes in wine made from Italy grape varieties, hardly surprising since one of its founders is Shelley Lindgren, the owner of A16 in San Francisco, which is named after a famous highway near Naples. She is the author of the new Italian Wine.  The other founder is Australian Kitty Oestlien, whose family comes from Barossa Valley. She lives in Napa and is developing her first vineyard. Tansy wines start at $20 per bottle on their website. Yes, $20 for Pinot Grigio and $24 for red field blend. They charge $2 more for those in the shop. The wines are made by Megan Glaab, co-founder of Cal-Ital specialist Ryme Cellar with her husband Ryan. For more information, see tansywines.com. Flights are $30 or $40 for three to five 3-oz. pours. One includes all brands.  The tasting room also serves snacks from A16:
