Statement from Napa Tourism Improvement District on South Napa Earthquake

Napa, Calif. (August 24, 2014) – The Napa Tourism Improvement District releases the following statement in regards to the South Napa earthquake:

“At approximately 3:20 a.m. Sunday, August 24, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred northwest of American Canyon and 6 miles from Downtown Napa. Several structures in the City of Napa, many of historic nature, received slight structural damage.

For travelers coming to the City of Napa, the following major properties are open and operating as normal: Embassy Suites Napa, Inn on First, Inn on Randolph, Napa River Inn, Napa Winery Inn and The Meritage Resort and Spa. Other properties are working to assess any damage and make immediate repairs as needed.

We will continue to update as new information becomes available.”
